Launching Olympia's new office space

One evening on the rooftop, London's leasing agents in the room, and two films to make sure the launch kept working long after the last drink was poured.

The films

Two films from one shoot — the space, and the night it was launched.

The office space

A 60-second showcase of the workspace itself — the lobbies, terraces, meeting rooms and rooftop views — built to travel on LinkedIn and sit on the leasing page.

The launch party

The agent launch event, cut as a film: the rooftop welcome, the drummers, the room filling up, and the people who were there saying what they made of it.

Olympia has spent the best part of a decade becoming something new: a 14-acre arts, entertainment and exhibition district with more than half a million square feet of workspace stacked above and around the Victorian halls. In September 2026 the office space was ready to show, and Olympia invited the agents who will let it to come and see it for themselves.

The brief

An agent launch is a one-night event with a shelf life of about a week — unless you film it. Working with Want Marketing again, following the Race to Olympia series earlier in the year, the ask was to get two very different things out of a single evening. First, a clean, standalone film of the office space itself, because the people who matter most — occupiers and their advisers — mostly weren't in the room. Second, a film of the launch party that would let Olympia and the agents who attended share the night with their own networks, and carry the sense of occasion to the people who missed it.

The approach

We treated it as two shoots sharing one call sheet. The space film was shot in daylight before guests arrived: the terraces and rooftop gardens, the lobbies with their LED ceilings, the reception, the meeting rooms and the views across west London, plus a drone pass over the whole estate to put the new buildings in context with the halls. The brief was to show the workspace working — people moving through it, not empty renders — so it was edited tight to music at a minute, the length that actually gets watched on LinkedIn.

The event film was a different discipline. Once the room filled, the job was to be everywhere and invisible: the drummers on the walk-in, the bar in full swing, the rooftop at golden hour, and the moment the agents stopped networking and started looking at the building. Mike worked the room with a handheld mic, grabbing short, unscripted reactions from guests between conversations. Those vox pops became the spine of the edit — the building described by the people Olympia most wants to hear describing it.

The production

Everything was captured on the Lumix S5II, with a second operator covering the wide and reverse angles during the event so no reaction or speech was missed, and the drone flown in the window before guests arrived. The whole thing was shot in a single day, and both films were cut, reviewed and signed off through FrontDoor, our client review portal, with frame-accurate comments and a one-click approval — from shoot day to final delivery in under three weeks.

The result

Olympia came away with two assets that do different jobs. The space film is a self-contained piece of leasing collateral: it sits on the website, in agent decks and in the inbox of every occupier who asks "what's it actually like?". The launch film is the social proof — a record of a full rooftop, familiar faces from the big agencies, and a district that already feels alive — and it gave Olympia, Want Marketing and the attending agents something worth posting the morning after.

Taken together with the commuter race series, Olympia now has a consistent film presence across the full leasing story: how you get there, what you find when you arrive, and who's already in the room.
